To make a claim on your State Contents cover, you’ll need to provide us with information on your contents including its age and purchase details.

 

Helpful information includes:

  •  receipts, 
  •  photographs, 
  •  valuations, 
  •  serial numbers, and 
  •  evidence supporting your ownership.

If you suspect the loss or damage was the result of burglary, theft or a malicious act, call the Police immediately. They will give you a form that confirms your loss.  Please keep hold of this form.

The excess you will have to pay

The standard excess is $250. You may have selected a higher voluntary excess in order to receive a premium discount, or you may have an imposed excess. Please refer to your policy schedule or call us to confirm your excess.
