All personal information is obtained in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993.  We are the intended recipient of this information, but it may be passed on to others.  This includes the Insurance Claims Register Limited where a record of all claims is kept.

You agree that State is authorised to use and disclose the information in the administration of your policy and any other policies with State on which you are named or listed.  Where you provide State with personal information about any other person to enable us to underwrite and administer your insurance, you confirm that you have the authority from those persons to disclose such information and to authorise State to use and disclose the information in the administration of your policy and all other policies with State on which the person is named or listed.

All personal information collected by State may be used to advise you of State's other services and products, or where we think you would appreciate receiving information from us.  State may give or obtain from appropriate individuals or organisations information relating to this insurance for underwriting or other purposes.

Your personal information will be held by State.  We will take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect this information from unauthorised access or disclosure. You are entitled to access and correct the personal information we hold about you by writing to us or phoning 0800 80 24 24.

This is to ensure that the information we provide to our customers is consistent and accurate. It also ensures that we have an accurate record of your call.
