Paying your State Personal insurance premium is easy - the choice is yours.
We have different payment options available depending on what policies you hold with us.
1. Pay fortnightly or monthly by direct debit.
Alternatively, just call us on 0800 80 24 24 and we can set this up for you.
2. Pay annually by cheque, cash, Visa, MasterCard or EFTPOS.
Mail: Attach your cheque to the payment advice and send to State, FreePost Authority Number 754, PO Box 3233, Wellington, 6140.
In person: Take your payment advice with your payment to any
New Zealand Post outlet or your nearest
State Store. Please note that the NZ Post option is only available for vehicle, home, contents and landlord policies.
Phone: Call us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 0800 80 24 24 (or if calling from overseas +64 9 969 1150) and have your credit card handy.
Phone banking: Pay from your touchtone phone, just set State up as one of your bill payees. You’ll need to have your policy number handy. Please note - you must set up separate payments for each policy you hold with us. If you need to arrange payment for Boat, Trailer, Caravan or Contract Works policies, please call us on 0800 80 24 24.
Internet banking: If you use online banking services, add State to your payee options and transfer your premium amount due from your bank account. Make sure you put your 9 digit policy number in the reference field. Please note - you must set up separate payments for each policy you hold with us. If you need to arrange payment for Boat, Trailer, Caravan or Contract Works policies, please call us on 0800 80 24 24.
