At State we try to be different from other insurance companies. We recognise the things you insure often have more than just monetary value. We understand how much your family, your home, your business and your favourite things mean to you.
Being easy to deal with is what drives us. You’ll notice this in the way we care for you at claim time and in our commitment to making sure you have the right cover for your needs. We receive plenty of feedback about our service. But we never stop trying to be even better.
Never was this more apparent than in the aftermath of the Canterbury earthquake in 2010 and the devastating quake that destroyed much of Christchurch and took many lives in February. Our mobile claims teams took to the streets to make it easier for our customers (as well as the customers of many other insurance companies) to begin the process of rebuilding their homes and lives. Many of our own people also suffered loss, but we’re proud of the way they responded at this incredibly difficult time.
You’ll find that community means a lot to us. Last year we formed a partnership with leading national water safety and swimming organisations in an initiative aimed at promoting water safety and activity. We like to think we’re ‘With You in the Water’. We’re also with you on the roads with our State Driver Reviver rest stops. This is where we volunteer our time to give drivers a refreshing pit-stop on long weekends and do our bit to make the roads that little bit safer. Look for us over the Easter and Labour long weekends.
We always say that if it’s important to you, it’s important to us. So if you’re already part of the State family, thank you for choosing State. And if you’re considering joining us, know that there’s nothing we value more than the things you love, and we’ll do our very best to help you protect them.
