If a part needed for your car isn’t available in New Zealand, we’ll pay you the last known price for it in New Zealand, along with the reasonable fitting cost.
Trailer cover
We’ll pay you the market value of a trailer or cover the cost of repairs up to $750 if your trailer is accidentally damaged. A $100 excess $100 does apply.
Road clearing expenses
We’ll pay the cost of clearing debris from a road or parking area, where an accident is covered by the policy.
Accidental death and disablement
If you or your partner dies as a result of an accident covered by this policy, where either of you was driving your car at the time, we’ll pay out $2,000. We’ll also pay $1,000 for permanent loss of use of a hand, foot or eye.
Protection from uninsured drivers
You won’t have to pay the excess on a claim for damage caused by an uninsured driver if you can prove that the other driver was at fault, and give us the registration number of their vehicle and their contact details. You’ll also need to help us recover your claim from the driver or the owner of the other driver’s vehicle.
Manslaughter defence
We’ll cover up to $5,000 of the legal costs incurred by you, your partner or a family member in defending a charge in relation to driving your car such as manslaughter or dangerous driving causing death.
