Loss of deposits
You’ll get your deposit back if you have to cancel or change your travel arrangements because of an accident and can no longer take the trip. Up to $100,000 cover for an individual or $200,000 for a family plan.
Travel delay
You’ll get accommodation, transport and meal expenses up to $5,000 if you have a delay exceeding 12 hours to your trip that’s beyond your control.
Missed connection
You’ll get additional transport expenses if you miss a connection which is beyond your control and you are travelling to a special event or you need to catch up with your planned itinerary.
Early return
You’re covered for extra travel costs if you have to return to New Zealand early because of the unexpected death or sudden life-threatening injury or illness of someone like your travelling companion, a close family member, a close business associate, or because your home in New Zealand is suddenly uninhabitable.
Resumed travel
If you returned to New Zealand because of an event covered by this policy, you’re also insured for additional travel expenses which you incur returning overseas to complete your original travel plans.
