State is a keen supporter of NZ Transport Agency’s (NZTA’s) latest initiative to help parents keep teenage drivers safe on the road.
As a parent, teaching your teenager to drive is a big challenge and can often be stressful. Teen drivers need to learn how to safely control a car and build a range of driving experiences with someone in the car next to them.
The NZTA’s handy online toolkit provides you with the support to guide your teen through their driving experience – from being a Learner through to the Restricted stage. It’s simple to use and you’ll find the website’s packed with practical advice and free interactive resources.
"Road crashes are the single biggest killer of 15-19 year old New Zealanders, and our teen crash rates are among the worst in the developed world - that's a situation no one should accept" - Jennie Gianotti, the NZTA's Manager Network User Behaviour
