1. The $50 Prezzy Card Plus TV Prize Draw Promotion (“Promotion”) is conducted by State, a business division of IAG New Zealand Limited (“State”), NZI Centre, 1 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010.
  2. By participating in this Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  3. The Promotion commences at 9.00am on 19 November 2019 and ends at 11.59pm on 19 January 2020 (“Promotion Period”).


  1. The Promotion is open to a new State customer who:
    1. is a resident of New Zealand and is aged 18 years and over as at 19 November 2019, and has received a direct mail letter about the Promotion;
    2. is not an employee of IAG New Zealand Limited or an immediate family member of an employee;
    3. purchases a new State car, home, contents or landlord insurance policy (“Qualifying Policy”) during the Promotion Period. Multiple purchases of the same type of policy will qualify for the Promotion subject to clause 8 below;
    4. Multiple purchases of the same type of policy will qualify for the Promotion subject to clause 7 below;
    5. has met all payment requirements under a Qualifying Policy (including making at least one payment on the Qualifying Policy by 19 January 2020); and
    6. has not cancelled their Qualifying Policy.
    (“Eligible Customer”).
  2. Renewals, replacements, mid-term adjustments, re-keys, downgrades or the reinstatement of an existing State policy (as determined by State in its sole discretion) do not qualify as purchasing a Qualifying Policy under clause 4(c).

Prizes and Prize Draw

  1. Eligible Customers will receive one (1) $50 Prezzy card (“Prezzy Card Prize”) for each Qualifying Policy purchased (subject to clause 7 below), plus they will go in the draw to win one (1) of ten (10) Samsung Smart TVs (“TV Prize”) during the Promotion Period. For each new car, home, contents or landlord insurance policy taken out you will get one entry in the draw to win 1 of 10 Samsung Smart TVs.
  2. An Eligible Customer will receive a maximum of three (3) Prezzy cards. Any Eligible Customer that purchases more than three (3) Qualifying Policies shall not be eligible to receive more than three (3) Prezzy Cards with a combined total value of $150.
  3. The Prezzy Card(s) will be couriered to the Eligible Customer’s postal address within ten (10) weeks of the new Qualifying Policy. State will not be required to send any Prezzy Card(s) before twenty-six (26) days after the inception date of all relevant Qualifying Policies. For the avoidance of doubt, State will not be obliged to send any Prezzy Card Prize to any person where the conditions set out in these terms and conditions have not been met.
  4. Terms and conditions apply to the use of the Prezzy Card Prize and must be complied with by the recipient (including expiry dates). See www.prezzycard.co.nz.
  5. Ten (10) TV Prize winners will be drawn at random from all eligible entries for the TV Prize on 9 March 2020 (or such later date as is required by State) (“Prize Draw”).
  6. TV Prize winners will be contacted by State by 11 March 2020 (or such later date as required by State). If a winner has not responded to State within fourteen (14) working days of being contacted or has communicated to State that they do not want the TV Prize then State can at its discretion: (a) deem the TV Prize winner to have forfeited their right to the TV Prize; and (b) re-draw another eligible TV Prize winner in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  7. The TV Prize will be couriered to the prize winner within ten (10) working days after notification of their win. State will not be liable to any person for any damage caused to the TV Prize, or if the TV Prize is lost or goes missing, after the TV Prize is dispatched for delivery to the TV Prize winner.
  8. The Prezzy Card Prize and TV Prize are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. State is not responsible or liable for any Eligible Customer’s inability to use his/her Prezzy Card Prize and/or TV Prize.


  1. State underwriting criteria, policy terms and conditions apply.
  2. State reserves the right to terminate or amend any aspect of this Promotion at any time. State will only do this where it considers it is reasonable to do so.
  3. Subject to any obligations under law, such as under the Consumer Guarantees Act or the Fair Trading Act, State and its related bodies corporate will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the Promotion.
  4. State takes no responsibility for any misdirected, lost, incomplete, damaged, corrupted, incorrectly submitted or late entries, or any human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed data transmission, computer or network failure, or any other interruption that may affect the conduct of this Promotion, unless that fault is caused by State.
  5. State may use and disclose entrants’ personal information to State’s agents or contractors for the purposes of conducting this Promotion and for marketing and promotional purposes.
  6. Entrants agree that if they accept the Prizes then State is entitled to use their name, contact details and photographs for State external and internal marketing, promotion, communication and publicity purposes in connection with the Promotion.
  7. Information collected will be securely held by State, 1 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010. State may contact any or all participants for the purpose of the Promotion generally and for marketing and promotional purposes. State may disclose participants’ personal information to Loyalty New Zealand Limited, its Fly Buys partners, contractors and agents in the course of conducting this Promotion and for marketing and promotional purposes. All participants have the right to access and correct their personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993 by contacting State in writing at the address above or by telephoning 0800 80 24 24.
