Register once and you’re sorted. Same login works for both the State app and My State, your online account. Nifty.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. 

During setup you’ll choose to get verification codes by email or text. You’ll use these when you:

  • log in
  • change your password
  • use a new or unfamiliar device.

In the app you can set up a PIN, face ID, or fingerprint ID instead of using verification codes.

You can change your preferences anytime in the app or online. Your account. Your rules.

Need to update your email or phone number? No sweat.

  • In the State app, go to Contact details in the main menu.
  • In My State online account, head to Manage personal details under Settings.

Login woes

Trouble logging in? Check you’ve activated your account using the link we emailed. Can’t find it? It could be hiding in your spam folder.

If you enter the wrong password five times your account will take a 15-minute hiatus before you can try again.

Missing policies

Only car, home, contents, landlord and motorcycle policies are shown in the State app or My State online account right now. Give new policies a day or two to show up.

Still MIA? Call us on 0800 80 24 24 to add them and they should pop up within five days.
