What’s great about State?

We’re highly commended in the New Zealand, General Insurer of the Year category for 11 years in a row.

Need-to-know renewal info.

You're getting a new policy.

Your new policy is written in plain language. Nice! Your cover has changed. Still has the essentials but some limits, excesses and cover are different. Some nice-to-haves are now optional, so you only pay for what you need. Review the optional benefits and add the ones you want. The change summaries outline the nitty-gritty differences.

How you’ll get everything.

You’ll get your policy schedule by email now (unless you’ve opted for post). And you can always change your preferences in your My State online account. If there’s more than one policyholder, the primary person on your policy will receive the email. You can always view your documents by logging in to your My State online account or the State app.

Simplified premiums and payments.

We don’t charge extra to pay fortnightly, monthly, or quarterly.

Do more online.

Use the State app or My State, online account to take care of insurance DIYs without leaving the couch. So comfy.

  • Adjust your sum insured
  • Add or remove optional benefits
  • Manage payments
  • Change your excess
  • Add a driver
  • Make and track claims

You’ll see how any changes affect your premium before you confirm them.
